The City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) advised the public to adjust to the traffic regulations to be implemented on the Coastal Road as it opens to vehicular traffic.
“Ang skating bawal na gyud siya. Ang gina-allow nalang gyud diha ang bike sa bike lane mismo and gamiton ang sidewalk for jogging ( Skating will be prohibited and what is only allowed are bikes on the bike lane and also the use of sidewalks for jogging),” Abude said.
He added that bikers should also alight from their bikes if they walk across pedestrian lanes.
“Ang pahimangno namo diha is amping gihapon kay siyempre ang atong Coastal Road is open man siya sa tanang sakyanan (We urge the public to prioritize safety because our Coastal Road is already open for all vehicles),” Abude said.
He added that the Coastal Road will start to receive vehicular traffic after the inauguration on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
He said that their office will deploy 28 personnel daily for the Coastal Road and these personnel are specially assigned to possible areas of congestion. CIO
