The CTTMO ensured that there will be enough personnel to man areas of convergence for the Holy Week, particularly near churches.
“Halos ang akong mga tao tanan deployed gyud (Almost all of my personnel will be deployed),” CTTMO chief Dionisio Abude said in an interview with reporters on Monday.
Abude said these personnel will not join the Holy Week Holidays to man the road.
He added that they are anticipating traffic congestion on Easter Sunday when some churches may conduct activities near or within the streets.
Abude said that as of Monday they have not received any request for road closure or are aware of any approved Sangguniang Panlungsod ordinance relating to road closures.
However, a road closure will be implemented on San Pedro Street as under a city ordinance, it should be closed to traffic on Sundays. CIO
