The Davao City Transport and Traffic Management Office is anticipating an influx of motor vehicles when the Davao City Coastal Road opens.
CTTMO Head Dionisio Abude, during the I-Speak Media Forum on Thursday, May 11, 2023, said that their office will conduct a re-alignment of personnel to deputize more personnel at the entry and exit of the Davao City Coastal Road, which is eyed to be opened in the second quarter of the year.
âGinapangandaman nato gikan sa Tulip right turn to Ecoland Drive up to Maya Quimpo sa may John Paul College. Gina-expect nato nga basin diha napod magbuild-up (We are preparing for it from Tulip Road right turn to Ecoland Drive up to Maya-Quimpo near John Paul College. We are expecting that it will become a build up area),â Abude said, adding that such road opening may decongest roads along Bangkal and Matina Crossing.
Abude said that they will observe the traffic volume for the first two weeks, from south going north, adding that they also anticipate that onlookers who wants to experience the Coastal Road will add in the traffic volume.
âMagbutang nata og signages para gikan sa kanto Tulip paingon sa may Quimpo- Maya, no parking and tow away zone nagyud na siya hasta didto sa Talomo Exit padulong sa Ulas padulong sa Bailey Bridge, padulong Aplaya so mao na atong ginapangandaman (We will place signages so that the portion of Tulip until Quimpo, will be a no parking and tow away zone including the Talomo Exit going to Ulas to the Bailey Bridge going to Aplaya so that is what we are preparing for),â Abude said.
He said that road signages for the nearby roads leading and exiting the Coastal Road are for installation.
He said that as there is a demand for more enforcers, he already requested additional personnel from the City Mayorâs Office. CIO
