Over 6,000 job vacancies are up for grabs in the upcoming “Kalayaan Job Fair” on June 12 at the NCCC Mall in Buhangin, Davao City  where job seekers will have a chance to be hired on the spot.

Among the top-notch local job vacancies are customer service representatives, sales representatives or associates, technical support experts, production staff, and outbound sales representatives. For overseas hires are nurses, customer services, and skilled workers.

Applicants need to bring resumé/biodata, identification (ID), and other pertinent documents.

Davao City Public Employment and Services Office (PESO) Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Lilibeth Pantinople in an interview with the City Information Office (CIO) on Thursday said that a total of 47 companies (38 local and six overseas) have enlisted to participate in the Independence Day Job Fair organized by the PESO in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI – Davao City Field Office.

Themed “Pagsuong sa Hamon ng Panibagong Bukas”, the Kalayaan 2022 Trabaho Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Job & Business Fair will welcome both pre-registered and walk-in clients in adaption to the hybrid recruitment process and new normal. All participants shall be required to follow strict health and safety protocols.

“As of June 8, 2021, there are already 900 who pre-registered for the June 12 Kalayaan Job Fair,” Pantinople said, adding that job seekers can also check out the different companies and their vacancies through the PESO FB Page. Pre-registration is still open and can be accessed through this link: https://forms.gle/kpia57pDE8ZXrEjEA.

“One good thing is that if they are pre-registered, they won’t have to go through a long registration line during the job fair,” Pantinople said.

A mini job fair and onsite pre-registration of the Kalayaan Job Fair is set for June 10-11, 22, 9:00 am-4:00 pm at the Activity Area, Third Level, NCCC Mall Buhangin. Ten companies are present for this event.

Pantinople said that walk-in clients will also be allowed.

“We encourage also na mag-adto didto ang dili maka-access and dili pre-registered, we cater walk-in applicants basta willing mag-apply even those from outside Davao City (We encourage also those who were not able to access the form and are not pre-registered to come. We cater to walk-in applicants for as long as they are willing to apply even those who are from outside Davao City),” Pantinople said.

She said that for this year’s job fair more companies participated as they have reopened under the new normal.  CIO
