Matina Aplaya Fire victims receive financial assistance
The City Government of Davao, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office, distributed financial assistance to residents of Dumalag 1, Matina Aplaya affected by the April 21 fire incident.
A total of 62 validated beneficiaries received their financial assistance at Matina Aplaya Gym on May 22.
Out of the validated beneficiaries, 31 received Php 20,000 each, 14 renters and 15 sharers receive Php 10,000 each, and two boarders received 5,000 each.
The CSWDO earlier distributed food and non-food assistance. Hygiene kits, a mobile kitchen, and modular tents were also provided by the city government immediately after the fire.
The financial assistance would be the last leg of aid as residents are already encouraged to use it to build new houses or find another area to live in. CIO
