The Davao City Social Welfare and Development Office has extended immediate food and non-food assistance to the 24 families affected by the fire in Tahimik Avenue, Matina Crossing on June 7, 2022.

Lawyer Marlisa Gallo, the Head of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), told the City Information Office that her office completed the giving of assistance to the fire victims on Wednesday.

ā€œNahatag na nato gahapon pa ang assistance to 24 families, financial assistance is already being processed (We have assisted the 24 families and the financial assistance is being processed),ā€ Gallo said.

Based on CSWDO’s final report, the fire incident left 13 houses totally damaged while two are partially damaged with a total estimated cost of damage of Php 3.557 million

Gallo said the affected families and their dependents are now staying at the Christ the King Chapel while others are staying with their relatives. CIO
