The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) on December 4 posted the schedule for the per-district payout of the senior citizen subsidy.

A payout for unclaimed annual subsidy was initially conducted on December 5 at the Calinan District Office.

A separate schedule for payout for December 9, Saturday, was announced for another four barangays located in Calinan District, four barangays in Tugbok District, and six barangays in Toril District.

For the reference of senior citizens, the post contains the barangay, and the name of the payroll.

CSWDO Head Julie P. Dayaday, in an interview with Davao City Disaster Radio earlier this week, said that as the payout starts she is asking for patience and consideration from those who are not yet included in the schedule.

ā€œGasugod napud ang paghatag nato sa annual subsidy for 2023, para sa atoang qualified senior citizens. Manghangyo lang pud ko nga maghulat lang pud ta sa atoang schedule. (We have already started the release of our annual subsidy for 2023, to our qualified senior citizens, we are asking you to wait for your schedule),ā€ Dayaday said.

She also said that as it is already December, there is a possibility that the payout will be extended to January due to the officeā€™s busy schedule.

Senior citizens who reach 60 years old are eligible for an annual subsidy of Php 1,500.

Based on Ordinance No. 0954-22, known as ā€˜The Amended Annual Financial Assistance to All Qualified Senior Citizens Ordinance of Davao City,ā€ which expanded the pool of senior citizen-beneficiaries to include those aged 60 years old, senior citizens are required to have their own Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) ID, Voterā€™s Registration, and membership in senior citizenā€™s organization to be eligible for the subsidy.
