As Davao City remains under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), the 182 barangays continue to receive aid from the city government through its five food programs.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) has distributed a total of 972,129 grocery packs since the start of the food ration on March 26, 2020.

CSWDO is set to roll out the third round of food rationing this week.

Mayor Inday Sara Duterte said the CVO is also complementing the CSWDO’s grocery items with fresh goods in lockdown areas.

“Usually naga-augment pud sila sa CSWDO sa lockdown… para magsagol ang grocery and fresh food (Usually CVO also augments the CSWDO in the food distribution in the lockdown areas to complement the grocery with fresh food),” she said.

The Office of City Mayor through its Quick Response Team (QRT) also completed the fourth round of rice distribution to 182 barangays. Each barangay received a minimum of 4,000 kilos of rice, the barangay with a bigger population receive more kilos of rice.

The QRT repacks the food donations from private donors. On May 8, 2020, the QRT distributed packs to 2,008 individuals and 1,995 groups or a total of 4,003 grocery packs.
