The Davao City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) has already distributed the P1,500 cash incentives to a total of 29,845 senior citizens in the city.

The CSWDO is targeting to give the annual subsidy to 170,00 senior citizens.

CSWDO Head Julie Dayaday said the elderly living in far-flung areas were among the first to receive the cash incentive since the office started the distribution on November 9. The remaining 140,155 will receive their subsidy in the coming weeks.

â€œGi-una nato ang Baguio District, ang Tubgok District, Calinan, Paquibato, Marilog, and some parts sa atoang Poblacion. And, naa pud ta’y Toril and Agdao (We put first Baguio District, the Tugnok District, Calinan, Paquibato, Marilog, and some parts of Poblacion. We also had Toril and Agdao),” said Dayaday during the Madayaw Davao live program on Thursday.

The CSWDO continues to hold payout to senior citizens this week until December 30 (Saturday) and will resume on January 2.

Dayaday said the distribution for the annual subsidy will most likely extend well into January 2024.

We are asking for our senior citizens to wait for the schedule of your payout. Do not worry because once you are in the list, you will be included and we will continue in January again),” she added. The CSWDO Chief urged senior citizens and their families to check for announcements in the official Facebook page of CSWDO here: https://www.facebook.com/cswdodavaocity
