Davao City has been generally peaceful during the recently concluded Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) 2023, according to the general assessment of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).
DCPO Spokesperson, PCpt. Hazel Tuazon, said in an interview with the Madayaw Program over the city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR) on Tuesday, that there were no reports of election-related incidents in the city.
“Sa Davao City, is generally peaceful and normal. Wala ta’y mga recorded nga incidents from Stations 1–20 (In Davao City, it was generally peaceful and normal. There were no recorded incidents from Stations 1–20 ),” she said.
Tuazon also said there were no conflicts in the voting centers during the voting period.
Meanwhile, after the BSKE, security personnel deployed at the voting centers headed directly to their designated posts in the cemeteries in the city to ensure the safety and security of people visiting their departed loved ones, in observance of Undas 2023.
The DCPO continues to encourage Davaoeños to cooperate with the police and follow the guidelines while visiting the cemeteries in the city. CIO
