The Pasko Fiesta sa Davao 2023, spearheaded by the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO), will open on November 28.

CTOO Officer-in-Charge Jennifer Romero on Wednesday said the installation of decorative pieces designed to embody the theme of “Warmth of Love, Radiance of Joy” of this year’s Pasko Fiesta is set to begin. The dĂ©cor, she said, will follow the Red and White motif.

Installation of red and white Christmas lanterns along major roads had also started.

“Naa na ta’y nasugdan na installation sa stars, I think, along R. Castillo na area. So, naa na ta’y mga parol. Then, ang atoang inspiraton as well for the logo mao na ang magiging look for the main dĂ©cor in front of the City Hall (We have started the installation of stars, I think, along R. Castillo area. Then, our inspiration for the logo will be the look for our main dĂ©cor in front of City Hall),” said Romero.

A 50-foot Christmas tree, ornamental lights, and a model train, Romero said, are among the main pieces of the decorations.

Romero also announced the schedule of activities for the month-long celebration, starting with the Dan-Ag Davao and the Pag-abli sa Pasko in Rizal Park at 6 in the evening of November 28.

The Panayegon sa City Hall— a series of Christmas Chorale concert at Rizal Park —is slated on November 29, December 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 24, and 25.

On November 30 to December 3, a Grand Christmas Bazaar (DATA Paskuhan in the Park) will open at the Rizal Park. A variety of holiday attractions will also open at the Magsaysay Park for the whole month of December with the Paskuhan sa Magsaysay Park.

The Pasko Fiesta for Indigenous People, Badjao, and other sectoral groups where welfare goods and other gifts will be distributed to the indigenous groups from December 1-15.

On December 4, the elimination round of the Koro sa Pasko choir competition will take place at the Annex Event Center of the SM City Davao. The final round of the competition will be on December 16 at the Rizal Park.

Employees of the local government are enjoined to participate in the Pasko Fiesta sa Empleyado at the Rizal Park where major prizes can be won in a raffle is slated on December 15.

The Banda Dasig ug Parada sa Pasko float parade will be on December 22. Followed by the RondalSayaw sa Pasko, a Rondalla and Dance performance concert, on December 23.

On December 23-27, the Kasadya sa Pasko Fiesta will visit public parks in the city to bring treats and joy to children for free.

On December 31, a New Yer’s Eve party or the Paghinugyaw – Sugat sa Bag-ong Tuig place in Roxas Avenue.

Romero, during the I-Speak media forum on Thursday, invited everyone to participate in the Pasko Fiesta festivities and share the magic of the Yuletide season.

“I would like to invite everyone to join us this coming November 28—mao ni ang atong pag-abli sa Pasko Fiesta 2023. This will be held at Rizal Park at 6 p.m. I hope you will be there to help us open this wonderful time of the year,” Romero said. CIO
