Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte asked the public to be wary of people using her name and not to believe them immediately.
Mayor Inday said over the city-operated Davao City Disaster Radio that what the people needed to do is to verify if those using her name to solicit money or favors are really staff at the City Mayorâs Office.
âKung dunay tao nga muduol nga mag ingon nga mao ni ang sugo, the best way ana is to verify it with the city mayorâs office,â she said.
She said verification can be done by emailing her office at davaocitymayor@gmail.com or by sending a message to the Davao City Reports on Facebook.
Some individuals have been using Mayor Indayâs name and asking for supposed donations to various activities in the city, including the alleged funding against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Mayor Inday said she has not authorized anyone to solicit donations on her behalf. CIO
