The implementation of the Food and Medicine Pass (FM Pass) will take effect on Tuesday, April 7 to give chance to barangays that have yet to release them to their constituents.
Mayor Inday Sara Duterte said over the city-owned 87.5 Davao City Disaster Radio that she already instructed the police about this.
“I already told CD Kraft that the FM pass will take effect on April 7,” she said.
The FM pass will be used by most Dabawenyos when they buy food and medicine to avoid being accosted by the police. Those who are working will use their company IDs once they will go outside their houses.
Mayor Inday noted that only security forces are allowed to validate if a person has an FM pass or not.
“We do not have a policy that a mall will bar a person from entering because she does not have an FM pass. The security forces are the authorities to check it,” she said.
The issuance of FM passes is part of the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) as the city continues to battle the spread of COVID-19. CIO
