Under the guidelines for Local Government Units on the development of the Comprehensive Local Juvenile Intervention Program (CLJIP), the City Government has issued an executive order (EO) reorganizing and reconstituting the Local Project Management Team (LPMT) for the program.
EO No. 32, Series of 2023, was signed on October 25, 2023, and states that the LPMT-Juvenile Program shall be in charge of the formulation of the CLJIP in Davao City.
Based on the EO, the team shall also be responsible for initiating and refining its program planning, designing, and implementation.
Moreover, the LPMT must spearhead the efforts of the city in attaining the CLJIP’s objectives. They are also expected to coordinate and lead the continuing capacity building of the direct service providers and to ensure that the inputs from Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children are integrated into the plans and that the monitoring of the project, plans, and activities are undertaken jointly.
The EO designated the head of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) as the team leader of the LPMT-Juvenile Program.
The team shall be composed of the heads or the duly authorized representatives from the following agencies: Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas; CSWDO; City Planning and Development Office; City Budget Office; Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Women, Children and Family Relations; DCPO–Women and Children Protection Desk; DILG–Davao City Operations Office; Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC); Special Office for Children’s Concerns; IGDD; SK Federation; CMO–Peace 911; DCDRRMO; BCCAD; DepEd–Schools Division Superintendent XI; CHO; Non-Government Organization appointed by the City Mayor; and Faith-Based Organization to be appointed by the City Mayor.
The budget for the development and implementation of the CLJIP shall be sourced from the 1% Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) allocated for the strengthening and implementation of the programs of the LCPC for Children-at-Risk (CAR ) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) based on Rule 24. c of the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 9344.
