The City Treasurers Office, in line with its digitalization initiatives, launched starting last month the online cedula.
The online cedula, according to the City Treasurer Atty. Lawrence Bantiding during a media forum held this month, is an online feature for Community Tax Certificate (CTC) and has been added to the services the office provides. This is among the added digital service offered by the CTO this year aside from the online payment for real property tax or RPT.
“Sa atoang online cedula instead nga madugay pa nga interbyuhon kay kuhaon ang imong detalye, naa pud ta’y ingon ani nga application nga at the comfort of your homes kadtong mga detalye nga isulod nato sa cedula, i-type didto, all you have to do is go sa atong opisina para magbayad. (Instead of waiting for a while for the interview to get your details, we have this application that allows you in the comfort of your homes to type the details needed in the cedula. So, all you have to do is go to the office for payment),” he said.
He added that there will still be validation at the teller but only on the income part because it will be the basis of the computation.
Bantidinf added that the trend now and the number one thrust of the mayor is for digitalization of transactions in their office and online payment, online cedula, and online RPT payment are among them.
“For this year kadtong adtong para sa atong professional taxes kadto napud ang gina-develop para dili ta madugay kay naa ma’y fill-upon nga detalye nga musulod sa PTR. So right now, we are in the process of developing that particular system para ang convenience sa taxpayers mahatag nato (For this year we are also developing the feature for the professional taxes so that there will be ease in filling up details in the PTR. So right now, we are in the process of developing that particular system so that we can give convenience to our taxpayers),” he said.
