Dabawenyos who go to the Davao City Coastal Road for sightseeing, are advised to follow the minimum public health measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease in the area.
In an interview on the Davao City Disaster Radio on Friday, Covid-19 Task Force Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser reminded the public that the rise of coronavirus cases remains a threat, therefore they should continue wearing face masks, observe physical distancing, and frequent hand sanitizing with alcohol-based hand rub.
âWalay mobadlong sa inyoha to appreciate the beauty of the coastal road. Ang atoa lang is dili siya mahimo nga dahilan sa massive spread of infection, so please follow minimum public health standards (No one will stop you from appreciating the beauty of the coastal road. What we want is to ensure is that it will not be a massive spreader of infection. So please follow the minimum public health standards),â Schlosser said.
Schlosser said that barangay captains are concerned about the gathering of people in the area, fearing it may cause the Covid-19 transmission.
To address the issue, the security cluster has deployed personnel in the area to enforce public health measures and apprehend violators.
âOur police officers are intensifying minimum public health standards tanang moadto diha. Karon bantay bantay mo kay naay manakop sa inyoha pag dili mo mo-follow og minimum public health standards (Our police officers are intensifying the minimum publice health standards for all who visit the area. People should be vigilant because police officers will make apprehensions for violating the minimum public health standards),â Schlosser said.
Schlosser further reminded sightseers that wearing of face mask is mandatory even if it is a coastal area. Also, social gatherings and picnics in the area are not allowed. CIO
