In its continued assistance to PUV drivers and operators affected by the High Priority Bus System Project (HPBS), the Davao City government distributed 32 livelihood starter kits to beneficiaries at the Tugbok District Hall Gymnasium on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
The starters kits are part of the HPBS Livelihood Restoration Program, a joint program of the City Government of Davao and partner agencies. A total of 17 beneficiaries received Sari-sari store starter kits and 15 others received the Bigasan package. Each package amounts to P10,000.
The beneficiaries of the program also underwent Gender and Development Orientation led by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
Present during the distribution were CSWDO chief Atty. Marlisa Gallo, Philippine Commission on Urban Poor (PCUP) Commissioner Norman Baloro, Department of Transportation (DoTr) Community Development Officer Richard Villanueva, and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) City Director Rechelle Remitio.

Those who seek to apply may drop their application in the drop box placed at the office of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) along Magallanes St, Davao City. The office of the HPBS-Social Development Program located at Magsaysay Park Complex, R. Magsaysay Ave., Davao City. has been closed temporarily starting September 28, 2021, and will open on October 12, 2021.
