The City Government of Davao is considering the call of some Dabawenyos to add a donate option for their Pahalipay packages in the SafeDavao QR for the people affected by Typhoon Odette.
On its Facebook page, the SafeDavao QR announced that it has received a proposal to include an option where Dabawenyos can donate their Pahalipay packages to Odette victims in the Visayas and other parts of Mindanao.
“Kami nagapasalamat para aning nindot nga inisyatiba aron makatabang sa mga nabiktima sa bagyong Odette (We are thankful for this initiative to help the victims of Typhoon Odette),” the post said.
Thus the public is advised that system developers are currently planning how to integrate the new option into the DQR.
The post, which generated 3,300 engagement including 2,000 shares and 604 comments as of 6:21 p.m., December 22, added, “Busa, WALA PA SA DQR ang kapilian o option nga ma-donar o donate ang Pahalipay Rewards. Daghang salamat sa inyong kooperasyon (The option to donate the Pahalipay Rewards has not yet been included in the DQR. Thank you for your cooperation).”
Netizens lauded the proposal and most of those who commented were willing to donate their Pahalipay rewards from the city government.
One comment from Aileen M. Toledo says, “Mao jd n amng naisipan n idea na Maayu pg I donate nlng sa naapektuhn sa bagyo..big help n kaau n pra sa ilaha (That’s what we have thought. It’s best to donate it to those affected by the typhoon. That would be a big help for them).”
Mae Arcena, for her part, said, “Mao jd among g pa abot kanang pwde na cya e convert to donation ky mas kailangan sa mga tao nga na bagyohan ang food pack ky isa akng ate na salanta nibagyong odette mao nag deside mi sa akng partner na e donate among food pack na pahalipay aron malipay sad ang ma tagaan..ky kbalo mi bcg isa akng ate na matabangan (This is what we have been waiting for, to convert it as a donation since the food pack is more needed by the typhoon victims. My sister is one of the Odette victims that’s why my partner and I decided to donate our Pahalipay food packs so that the beneficiary will be happy. We know my sister would be among those who will benefit from it).”
“Woow mao ni akong gepa abot makatabang ta sa atong mga ka igsoonan..God bless us all ka davawenyos..more blessings to us (Wow, I’ve been waiting to help our fellow Filipinos. God bless us all, Dabawenyos. More blessings to us),” Paoliz W. Camarillo shared.
Claudette Cabarrubias Palermo, meanwhile, said, “Willing mi mudonate sa amung pahalipay para sa mga naapektohan sa bagyo. Walay mawala sa amua kay pahalipay mana ni Mayor, mas daghan need ana na pahalipay po. Unta pud madungagan na na pahalipay pag abot sa ilaha (We are willing to donate our Pahalipay rewards for the typhoon victims. That’s mayor’s Pahalipay anyway, more people will be needing it. We hope that more the victims will receive more pahalipay).”
Emely Arabejo also said, “Maayo jd n enyong Plano m uyon k ana ky para mka tabang pd t s nabagyohan. dli jd lalim Ang elng kaage karon mgpasko p nman (That’s a good plan, I would agree to that so we can help the typhoon victims. What they are going through is not easy, with Christmas fast approaching).”
