A total of 201 cadets completed the six-month Public Safety Basic Recruit Course of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in a graduation ceremony at the Regional Training Center (RTC XI) in Mintal on Wednesday.
The ceremony was attended by Mayor Sebastian Duterte, RTC XI Chief PCol Marvin Fontalva, RTC XI Assistant Chief PMaj Elmira Relox, PNP officials, RTC XI non-uniformed personnel, and other stakeholders.
The 201 cadets of the Class Alpha-Delta, most of whom are from Region XI, had their badges pinned on their uniform by the mayor.
Duterte, in his speech, congratulated the men and women who completed the 24-week intensive training.
āThe communities you serve will look to you to enforce the law, prevent crimes, maintain peace and order, and ensure public safety and security,ā the mayor said.
Warning the future law enforcers not to abuse their authority, Duterte urged the graduates to stay true to their mandate of protecting and serving the people.
He reminded the recruits that the graduation ceremony is only the beginning of a lifetime’s worth of public service.
Duterte also acknowledged the important role the RTC XI plays in shaping and producing upstanding men and women in uniform.
The RTC XI turned over the graduates to the Police Regional Office for Field Training Exercises. CIO
