The Davao Tourism Association (DATA), in partnership with the City Government of Davao and the Department of Tourism XI, opened its four-day ā€œPaskuhan in the Parkā€ Grand Bazaar at Rizal Park on Thursday.

The bazaar features food, non-food, services and also surprises.

DATA Representative Jhun King Bacalla, during the I-Speak media forum, said that the Paskuhan in the Park is of a unique kind because of the variety of things it offers.

ā€œIt is somehow unique in the sense that it aims to bring hotels, restaurants, pop-up shops, services, creatives gift ideas, and a wide range of variety of choices,ā€ Bacalla said, highlighting also the convenience of having these finds in one setting in the heart of the city.

Aside from food and non-food displays, the bazaar also offers entertainment, music, and dancing for all visitors.

Bacalla said that another highlight of the bazaar is the chance for visitors to win in raffle draws with exciting prizes.

The bazaar is open from November 30 (4 pm-12 midnight); December 1 and 2 ( 11 am to 12 midnight); and December 3 (11 am to 10 pm ).

Bacalla said that with the display of the Christmas Tree and Christmas decorations that gather Dabawenyos at the city center, the DATA is hopeful that the 35-stall grand bazaar will yield income higher than they achieved during the previously organized Kadayawan bazaar, which reached Php1.1 Million.

City Economic Enterprises Officer-In-Charge Maximo Macalipes Jr., in the same media forum, said that the organizers of the Paskuhan in the Park complied with the requirements, such as a special permit and the payment for the rent of space per day at the bazaar. CIO
