The Davao City Economic Enterprises (CEE) is now accepting applications from Dabawenyos who want to sell goods at the Roxas Night Market. Receiving of applications will run until June 3, 2022.

Qualified applicants will be the second batch of vendors to be given space at the Night Market through raffling on June 20, 2022, followed by an orientation on June 22.

Derreck Cainglet, Administrative Staff of the City Economic Enterprises (CEE) in an interview on Davao City Disaster Radio Tuesday said his office started accepting applications on May 23, 2022, in preparation for the second batch of vendors.

According to Cainglet, there is a rotation of vendors every three months to give chances to other small entrepreneurs.

He noted that the city has been earning from the operation of the Night Market. In its opening on March 24, the city earned a total of Php 1,050, 370 from the rentals of 258 vendors. The night market currently has 56 stalls for the food section, 56 for the accessory section, 65 for RTW (Ready-to-Wear), and 72 for the massage section.

Based on the tax order of payment, the daily rental for the stalls is Php100 per day for the food section, Php70 per day for accessories, Php70 per day for RTW, and Php20 per day per massage therapist.

Those who seek to apply according to Cainglet will have to make a Letter of Intent and go to the Davao City Recreation Center to fill out the application form. CIO
