The City Government of Davao, through the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), just last week finished the distribution of financial assistance to disaster-struck areas all over the country.
In the spirit of unity and nation-building this Christmas season, the CDRRMO distributed a total of P13,300,000 from the cityâs Quick Response Fund to 27 areas all over the Philippines.
Municipalities were given P300,000; cities P500,000; and provinces P1 million.

Meanwhile, the earthquake-devastated province of Ilocos Norte and the town of Lagayan in Abra were also given P1 million and P300,000, respectively.
CDRRMO Chief Alfredo Baloran, in an interview with the City Information Office on Monday, said the recipient LGUs were grateful for the cash assistance and have vowed to make use of the money as soon as possible.
Baloran, who personally delivered the financial assistance to these areas, said the distribution of aid was approved by the city council last month to assist the people in these disaster-struck areas.
âAng tabang nga gihatag sa (the aid given by) Davao City Government to the municipalities or provinces kay para sa ilahang mga (is for their) constituents,â Baloran said. CIO
