The City Government of Davao, in partnership with the Department of Health, has launched the “Bakunahang Bayan Pinaslakas na Special Vaccination Days”—a weeklong walk-in vaccination drive that will run from September 26-30 at the People’s Park.

The vaccination will be done from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Davao City Covid-19 Vaccination Cluster Head Dr. Josephine Villafuerte told the City Information Office on Monday that the vaccination drive is open to all and they have not set a limit on the number of clients.

The Bakunahang Bayan for COVID-19 is conducted simultaneously nationwide on the same dates and is aimed at increasing the wall of immunity against the COVID-19 virus in communities.

The recent vaccination drives conducted at the People’s Park, especially the Weekend Vaccination Activity of the Philippine National Red Cross and the Vaccine Cluster, which were conducted on September 17-18, 2022, and September 24-25 registered a total of 962 clients.

Davao City, as of September 23, 2022, achieved 43.64 percent of the target population for the first booster dose, and 9.35 percent of the target population for the second booster dose.
