The Davao City COVID-19 Task Force said that special health guidelines will be enforced for the Pasko Fiesta 2022 despite the easing of health protocols.

Dr. Michelle Schlosser said, “Sa tanang events sa syudad, naa gyud consultative meeting sa tagsa-tagsa nga division sa atoang local Government of Davao para safe ug mas secure and enjoyable atong mga selebrasyon (In all the city’s events, there is a consultative meeting with division offices of the City Government of Davao to ensure safe, secure, and enjoyable celebrations).”

Schlosser, during the Bida Bakunado program of 87.5 FM Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR) aired Friday, November 11, said that since COVID-19 is still very much around and relaxed health protocols are being implemented, the city government will remain vigilant in strictly imposing health guidelines similar to the one implemented during Undas 2022.

“Rest assured that the health sector, our department, will be there for the consultative meeting and we will impose what is healthy and safe for our celebration,” she said.

The city health official said Undas 2022’s health and security guidelines were successfully implemented, which they plan to replicate for the Pasko Fiesta 2022.

She added, “Even if we have national and local guidelines, but in celebrations and events in Davao, we have special guidelines for that to maintain the safety, security, and health sa katawhan nga magselebrar ug sa mga tawo gyud nga visitors pud nato (Even if we have national and local guidelines but in celebrations and events in Davao, we have special guidelines for that to maintain the safety, security, and health of the people who celebrate and the people who are visiting us).”
