More and more Dabawenyos availed of the free anti-Covid vaccination at the People’s Park on Wednesday after the Davao City government opened the site for the informal income earners.
The vaccination team at People’s Park administered the first dose to more than 700 walk-ins, including sidewalk, fruit, and flower vendors, trisikad, tricycle and habal-habal drivers, laborers, kargadors and construction workers, sales lady, tindero and tindera, Puj and taxi and taxi drivers, and service delivery drivers (food panda, grab and toktok).
The inoculation for walk-ins is still open from Monday to Friday. To avail of the free anti-Covid jabs, one must bring DQR, valid ID, and pens.
The big number of people availing of the vaccination at the People’s Park would help the city government achieve its target of inoculating 1.2 million Dabawenyos of the first dose by November.
As of September 4, the city government has already administered the first dose to 620,284 and 347,797 for the second dose. CIO
