The 25 City Health Office (CHO)-managed vaccination sites, as well as the Bakuna Nights hubs, are now accepting walk-ins with Pfizer vaccines currently being served.

Davao COVID-19 Task Force Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser bared this during the Bida Bakunado program of 87.5 FM Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR) aired on Friday afternoon, October 15.

She said, “Fortunately, daghan gyud ta karon og vaccines that is why ginaengganyo nato ang tanang katawhan, ang atong (we have a lot of vaccines that’s why we are encouraging the public, our) 25 CHO-managed vaccination sites are now accepting walk-ins because of the fact nga daghan kaayo ta og (that we have a lot of ) allocated vaccines, particularly Pfizer.”

Dr. Schlosser said that aside from the allocated vaccines that recently arrived, there were half a million doses that also arrived last week.

By walk-in, she said that interested vaccinees can register onsite and must only bring a valid ID, Safe Davao QR, and ballpen.

“Katong previous months nato pinakaproblema sa atong katawhan gusto sila magpa-vaccine dili sila ka avail kay dili allowed ang walk-in. Hulaton pa ang ilang prioritization o priority groups pero karon they can avail of the vaccine sa tanang mga hubs (In previous months, the public’s main problem was they want to get vaccinated but they cannot avail of yet since walk-in was not allowed. They had to wait for their prioritization or priority grops but now they can avail of the vaccine in all vaccination hubs),” the city health official said.

She said an updated list of operational vaccination hubs is posted on the official City Government of Davao Facebook Page –  https://www.facebook.com/davaocitygov.

The list of open and operational vaccination hubs, according to Dr. Schlosser, is being updated every Monday. Vaccination hubs that allow walk-ins cater to onsite registrants to accommodate people who want to get jabs.

She advised, “Kung unsang pinakaduol sa inyoha nga vaccination hub, avail of it po (Whatever vaccination hub nearest to you, avail of it).”

Meanwhile, the City Government of Davao has also opened additional hubs for the Bakuna Nights. From the original site at San Roque Elementary School, NCCC Mall Buhangin has also launched its Bakuna Nights on Friday last week, October 8. NCCC Mall PR department’s Thea Padua said there were 270 vaccinees that night and they target to have 330 on October 15. Aside from workers, housewives also availed themselves of the Bakuna Nights with Pfizer vaccines being administered to them.

SM Lanang Premier and SM City Davao will also hold Bakuna Nights every Friday starting October 22. Dr. Schlosser said, “We are going to pilot test that. Kung daghang tao, ipadayon nato (If there will be a lot of people, we would continue that).” CIO
