A total of 181,757 Dabawenyos have already received their anti-Covid booster dose based on the latest data released by the Davao City Vaccination Cluster dated February 4. 2022.

Davao City Covid-19 Task Force Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser confirmed this in an interview with the City Information Office on Tuesday. She said that with this number, the city has still a long way to go to achieve the target population.

“We want everyone to have a booster. At the moment, since we are almost 100 percent na nato ang herd immunity, what we are targeting is the total population of 1.8 million. So, in the same manner kung 1.8 million ang atong gusto i-vaccinate mao pud na ang atoang i-booster (We want everyone to have their booster. Since we are almost 100 percent of our herd immunity, what we are targeting is the total population of 1.8 million. So, in the same manner since we target 1.8 milllion we also target the same number for our booster dose),” Schlosser said.

She added that simultaneous with the booster dose rollout, the vaccination for the first and second dose is still ongoing.

Based on February 4, 2022, Vaccination Cluster Data, the city government already administered a total of 1,289,103 of the first dose and 1,248,068 second dose of Anti-Covid-19 vaccines.

Schlosser said that while the city has enough vaccines, vaccination sites, and logistics to administer first, second, and booster doses, the cooperation and submission of people to get vaccinated are still necessary to achieve vaccination targets.
