The Davao City Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO), after successful coordination during the Ironman 70.3 race, is now preparing for the Holy Week.
“By tomorrow I will be orchestrating a security and safety coordination meeting for Semana Santa,” PSSO head Angel Sumagaysay said in a media interview after Monday’s flag ceremony.
Sumagaysay said that so far, the city did not record any communist related incidents, local terrorist incident, and significant criminality in the whole course of March activities that involved the Araw ng Dabaw and the Alveo Ironman 70.3 Triathlon.
“I am thankful to everyone, and I am thankful to all who helped to disseminate the guidelines,” Sumagaysay said in the vernacular.
He said that among the big events in the city after the Ironman is the national convention of prosecutors or the prosecutors league, which started Monday, March 27, 2022.
