The Quality Management System (QMS) Committee of the city government held an orientation on ISO 9001:2015 for new office representatives and internal quality auditors on March 1 and 2.
Lawyer Sarah Phoebe Paclibar, QMS Leader, opened the event with a lecture on the general concepts and requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
Errol John Denosta, the QMS Planning Team Leader, also extensively discussed Clause 4:Context of the Organization particularly Internal and External Issues (IEI) and Relevant Interested Parties (RIP), as well as Clause 6: Planning specifically Actions to Address Risk and Opportunities and Quality Objectives.
Sugar Ray Rasonable, Division Chief for Archives Preservation Division, discussed Control of Documents and Records, while an overview of the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) was given by the IQA Leader, Genevieve Gamueta.
Gamueta said having new internal quality auditors will be like having different sets of eyes, different sets of finding, resulting to more opportunities for improvements.
The program ended with a post-test to evaluate the understanding of the participants on QMS.
