The Davao City Tourism Operations bared on Tuesday, December 20, the 15 grand finalists of the Sayaw sa Pasko Fiesta 2022, which will take center stage at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 23, at the Rizal Park.
The grand finalists are Thy Unity, SQ1, Six Color United, Souldiac, Joyful Movers, Nexus, Season Crew, Nemesis, PWC Salin Lahi Dance Artist Ensemble, Team Sesh, SUI Generis, Mesdames, Agro Dance Troupe, The Villain, and We are One PH.
They were the survivors of the elimination round held on Saturday, December 17.
A cash prize of P100,000 awaits the grand winner, the runner-up will take home P75,000, and the third placer will receive P50,000.
The next two other placers will claim P30,000 and P20,000, respectively.
The 10 losing grand finalists will also not go home empty-handed as they will each settle for the P10,000 consolation prize.
Each participating group is composed of 10 to 16 members who are residents of Davao City and are seven years old and above, either all-female, all-male, or a mix of both.
The event organizers will declare the music material before the grand finals. All entries will have a minimum of four minutes and a maximum of five minutes to perform in a three-angle stage provided by the organizers.
The competition is open to different genres (urban or street, jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet, etc.) except the cultural or traditional Philippine dance.
The participants will be judged based on choreography (30 percent), dance technique (20 percent), creativity (10 percent), execution and synchronization (10 percent), mastery (10 percent), and production design (10 percent). CIO
