Seventeen scholars under Davao City’s Educational Benefit System Unit (EBSU) have passed the physician licensure examination held in October.

EBSU Technical Assistant Mr. Emilio Domingo Jr. said that of the 16, 15 graduated from the Davao Medical School Foundation while the two others finished their medical course at Brokenshire College.

“Nalipay ang City Government, labi na ang EBSU nga nakapasa sila (The City Government of Davao, especially the EBSU, is happy that they passed),” Domingo said, adding that every year, the majority of scholars of EBSU for medical school pass the physician licensure exam.

For this year, the scholars who became doctors, based on the list issued by the Philippine Regulatory Commission, are Hermie Luz Casabar, Primo IV Delos Reyes, Irson Thurs Doria, Beryl Encabo, Allisa Mae Goneda, Kyle Jan Juban, Charles Luke Lumakin, Alexandra Najera, Charles Wisley Odal, Jun Paolo Orlanes, Kimberly Claire Paragele, Christelle Samaniego, Clint Sevilla, Jann Chester Tamondong, Korina Mae Vidal, Daphnie Shane Gentapan, and Louie Gokotano.

Domingo said there are now a total of 40 EBSU scholars who became physicians.

“Since 2018, nakapagraduate natag 57 kabuok and karon naa nata’y 40 ka registered physicians.

Naa na po’y nigraduate last July 2022, 17 kabuok and mag take sila next year (Since 2018 we are able to produce 57 graduates and now, we have 40 registered physicians.),” Domingo said.
