To ensure the smooth observance of Undas 2022 activities, the City Government of Davao has issued a 16-point guideline to be implemented within the 35 cemeteries in the city from October 30, 2022 to November 3, 2022.

The 16-point guideline includes the opening of cemetery gates at 6 a.m. and closure at 8 p.m from the evening of October 30 until November 3, 2022. The management of private cemeteries may implement different operating hours.

Visitors shall observe the “One entrance policy”, but vehicles shall follow the “One Entrance, One Exit Policy”.

Staying overnight is strictly prohibited.

Tricycles are not allowed to enter the cemetery premises.

Wearing jackets, bringing backpacks, playing loud music or karaoke, gambling, and bringing alcoholic drinks and pointed objects, are strictly prohibited.

Drones and firearms are strictly prohibited, except those with security clearances.

Health Protocols

Davao City Ordinances and Minimum Public Health Standards on COVID-19 must be observed at all times. The managements of private cemeteries are encouraged to implement their own health protocols in coordination with City Health Office.

Wearing face masks is mandatory. Bringing sanitizers is highly encouraged. Any person exhibiting flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, and colds is discouraged from visiting cemeteries.

Medical tents will be set up at the entrances of all cemeteries, with medical teams conducting body temperature checks and responding to any medical emergencies.

Vagrants, loiterers, and scavengers are denied entry into all cemeteries.

Only ambulant vendors with Special Permits from the City Mayor shall be allowed to sell goods from October 30 to November 3, 2022, at the designated ambulant vending areas outside the cemeteries set by the City of Davao.

All visitors shall observe proper waste disposal and apply “Clean As You Go” or “Basura ko, Linis Ko”. All cemeteries must observe the garbage collection points determined by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).

Roles of City Offices

Parking areas for four-wheeled vehicles and motorcycles outside the cemeteries shall be identified by the City Transport and Traffic Management Office.

To supplement the security profile of all cemeteries and assist in crowd control and law enforcement, the Davao City Security Cluster will deploy its personnel from October 30 to November 3, 2022.

Police Assistance desks will be set up by the Davao City Police Office in all cemeteries.

No burial, internment, or cremation shall be scheduled by City Economic Enterprises in city-owned and operated cemeteries from October 30, to November 3, 2022, except for cases of immediate burials. CIO
