A total of 29,576 public utility vehicle drivers has received anti-Covid vaccines through the Davao City government’s vaccination drive in three sites opened for them at Agro Compound, Calinan, and Panacan.

Of the number, 15,701 drivers received their first doses and 13,875 the second doses.

The city government noted that 1,826 missed their doses, but these drivers may have already availed the vaccines through the city’s mobile vaccination in the barangays, according to Dionisio Abude, the Head of the City Transportation and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO).

“Among assessment ato nabakunahan nato sila sa lain na vacccination hub kay naana man mga mobile vaccination sa mga barangay (In our assessment, they were already vaccinated in different vaccination hub in the barangays),” Abude said.

The PUJ drivers are part of the Priority A4 (Essential Workers) who were able to avail doses of anti-Covid vaccines.

As of October 29, 2021 report of the vaccination cluster for the A4 priority group, the city already vaccinated 445,162 for the first dose and 422, 268 for the second dose.

The vaccination drive in the barangays led by Sangguniang Panlungsod City Council members and the Office of the Vice Mayor Baste Duterte is still ongoing.

As of October 30, the SP-led vaccinations catered a total of 72,591 for the first dose while 40,649 are fully vaccinated.

Davao city has now reached 882,818 individuals for the first dose and 788,001 individuals for the second dose.

The city aims to hit the 1.2 million population protection target by the end of the month. CIO
