The Davao City government in partnership with the Waterfront Insular Hotel is targeting to inoculate around 25,000 essential workers and economic front-liners in the second phase of the “Bakuna by the Sea”.

The first batch of the second phase is on September 17-18 and those who are interested may still pre-register on this link – https://forms.gle/gEUXonD6HwgrahvB8. Those who seek to be vaccinated are required to bring Davao QR Code and a valid government ID.

The second phase came after the success of the vaccination of 14,000 tourism front-liners who are already fully vaccinated through the same vaccination drive.

“The tourism sector is already done, this present rollout is for non-tourism, but still A4 and in courtesy of the Waterfront,” said Generose Tecson, the head of the Davao City Tourism Operations Office.

On Friday, Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte visited the vaccination site and thanked Senator Sherwin Gatchalian and the Gatchalian family- the owners and operator of the Waterfront Insular Hotel, for their support in the city government’s vaccination campaign.

This vaccination rollout is part of the city’s all-out initiatives to fast track the vaccination of 1.2 Dabawenyos to achieve herd immunity by the end of the year.

As of September 16, 2021, the city already vaccinated 677,415 individuals for the first dose and 433,478 individuals for the second dose. CIO
