Mayor Inday Sara Duterte led the turn over of four new health centers to recipient barangays in the city last week.
The health centers for Royal Valley in Bangkal, Barangay Langub, Kabacan and Bankerohan were built through the joint efforts of the city government, the Department of Health, and the Department of Public Works and Highways.
Mayor Inday said that the new health centers will be a big help to the community as these would serve as the first responders to the health concerns of the members of the community.
āThis is the place where the people can go when they have minor injuries. Through these health centers, we can declog the big hospitalsā, she said.
Mayor Inday also said that because of the increasing number of health centers in the city, it is about time the city government hire additional nurses and doctors.
āWe will hire more nurses and doctors that we can assign to our new health centers. It is the target of the city that we will have at least one doctor and a nurse in every health centerā, she said. CIO
