The Davao City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) has delivered food assistance to 88 families in Purok 8, Tomas Monteverde, Agdao District that was placed on hard lockdown on August 17 due to the alarming coronavirus cases in the area.
Maria Luisa Bermudo, the head of the CSWDO, said that the affected families received three (3) assorted grocery packs each to last for 14 days. Each pack contains five kilos of rice, 12 assorted canned goods, condiments, and hygiene kits.
āOne (pack) contains five kilos of rice and 12 assorted canned goods, the other one contains condiments such as soy sauce, oil, sugar, coffee and milk, and the last pack will be hygiene kits such as soap and shampoo,ā she said in an interview on Tuesday.
The City Agriculturistās Office (CAO) and the City Veterinarianās Office (CVO) also joined efforts with CSWDO by giving assorted fresh products gathered from Davao farmers.
CAO is providing aid to families through the Confirm, Locate, Engage, Address, and Resolve (C.L.E.A.R.) program. They are scheduled to deliver relief for Purok 8 residents on Wednesday, August 19.
The CVO is also providing more or less 100 dressed chickens to the affected residents. CIO
