The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) vows to keep up with the challenges of the times when it is required to balance crime-busting and assisting in the fight against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the city.

“Rest assured that even we are faced with these additional challenges brought by this health crisis, we will continue to be dedicated, committed, and steadfast in the fulfillment of our mission which is to serve and to protect,” said DCPO Director P/Col. Kirby John Kraft.

Kraft also assured Dabawenyos that the Davao police will continue to serve and protect its people.

Kraft said this after the DCPO was named as the Best City Police Office in Region XI during the 119th Police Service Anniversary celebration on Thursday, August 6, 2020.

DCPO’s Mobile Force Company is also 2020’s best plus five (5) of its police units.

Individual awards were given to Kraft as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) for Operations; P/Msg. Adnan Ahadain as Best Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) for Operations; P/Cpl. Lucky Leparto as Best Junior PNCO for Operations; and, Gemma Abejaron as Best Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP)/Non-Supervisory Level.

Kraft expressed his gratitude to the personnel of the DCPO for their continued service despite the challenges brought by Covid-19.

Kraft also attributed the achievement of the DCPO to the unwavering support of the Davao City government and the leadership of Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.

The 119th Police Anniversary was celebrated via live simulcast in all 17 Police Regional Offices across the country with the theme “Towards A Pandemic-Resilient PNP: Deploying Digital Technologies and Adopting Protective Protocols in The New Normal.” CIO
