Dabawenyos who plan to travel in and out of the country are encouraged to check the travel guidelines/restrictions issued on Sunday, June 21, 2020, by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for their safety and to prevent being stranded while on transit elsewhere during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Davao City Tourism Officer Gene Rose Tecson said that travelers should make the necessary coordination with the embassies or consulates of the country of destination before booking their ticket.

She also reminded them to only purchase tickets directly from airline companies.

โ€œPlease refrain from getting tickets from unlicensed travel agents or ticketing offices. No one should be selling right now, except the airlines themselves,โ€ said Tecson.

On Sunday, the DFA travel advisory included Infographics on Travel Bans and Restrictions for Filipinos imposed by over 160 countries in the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa based on their latest communications from their Foreign Service Posts.

The infographics show which countries can Filipinos who are allowed to leave the Philippines, may or may not enter, and which countries living, working or stranded Filipinos may or may not leave. It can be accessed at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1659312864223541&type=3.

DFA, however, cautioned travelers to check their official platforms from time-to-time since the travel bans and restrictions will be subject to change without prior and sufficient notice.
