The 120 Dabawenyos who have been stranded in Clark since the lockdown in March, are finally coming home to Davao City this week on board a sweeper flight paid by the city government.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte announced that the 120 stranded Dabawenyos in Clark are the first batch of stranded Dabawenyos coming home on Monday, May 4. The second batch is from Manila and will be flying home on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.
She said they have been assessed and validated by the Davao City Stranded Persons Database Center (DCSPDC).
Upon their arrival at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport, Mayor Sara said all passengers will undergo health screening, and depending on the results they will be brought either to the hospital, quarantine facilities, or sent to their respective residences.
Those sent home will still undergo a strict 14-day quarantine.
“Those who will be sent home shall undergo a strict 14-day home quarantine. And while on home quarantine, all household members must stay away from them and strictly observe social distancing,” she said.
If any of the returning Dabawenyos developed symptoms within 14 days after arrival, the mayor noted, they must immediately inform the District Health Office and present themselves to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).
“They are asked to go to their District Health Center or Barangay Health Centers for screening on the 7th day and 14th day after arrival,” she added. CIO
