The Davao City Engineer’s Office (CEO) has reported the completion of City Government-funded road constructions and rehabilitation projects worth P20.3 million and these are now providing accessibility to the residents in the far-flung areas.
The biggest among the road projects is the road concreting at Barangay Tagluno in Toril District with a total project amount of P7 million. Alji Construction and Supply implemented the project from ‪May 1, 2018 to April 30‬, this year.
Another completed project is the improvement of the local road including drainage at Barangay 5-A Poblacion District worth P4.75 million. This was constructed by Amazing Find Builders Corporation ‪on April 19.‬
The CEO also reported that Hexamindz Corporation completed a farm-to-market road at Purok 48 in Barangay Pangyan, Calinan District ‪on April 30‬ with a total appropriation of P4 million.
The CEO is also expecting other road network and drainage system projects to be handed over soon that includes the drainage project along Iñigo Extension, Barangay 11-B, Poblacion District worth P2.6 million and the concreting of the road at Purok 4, Barangay Lampianao in Calinan District worth P2 million.
There is also the manual rodding or maintenance of the drainage along Candelaria Street at Ecoland.
Most parts of the city from Districts 1, 2, and 3 are also undergoing road rehabilitation including the road from Sitio Pigdalahan to Sitiol Manipes in Barangay Pandaitan and the graveling of Guibatan Road to Barangay Paradise Embac, both located in Paquibato District.
The completion of the rehabilitation and repair of roads in Paquibato District is significant in the city’s peace and developments efforts in making the delivery of services in these areas more efficient.
