The Davao City government has added another feather in its cap after its Human Resources Management Office was cited by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) with a bronze level accreditation under its Prime HRM award.
“Reaching the level 2 accreditation only meant that our systems and procedures, based on what the CSC follows, are already set in place. We are truly grateful for this recognition,” said HRMO head Lemuel Ortonio.
The bronze level accreditation means that all appointments signed by Mayor Inday Sara Duterte will no longer go through the approval of the CSC. It also gives the city government the access to other CSC services.
“It is now a challenge for us to step forward to get the level three accreditation,” he said.
To achieve this, Ortonio said the HRMO will become a strategic office with learning interventions for its personnel.
“We will not just stick to the requirements of the CSC, we will make interventions for our personnel, whether plantilla or job orders, to address their needs,” he said.
He said the HRMO prepares activities to enhance the camaraderie and teamwork of its employees every month.
The bronze accreditation from the CSC is just one of the awards and citations given to the city for its improved programs not just for the city employees but also the people of Davao City. CIO
