Business owners in Davao City can soon pay their taxes online through the Land Bank of the Philippines and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) â instead of queuing at the Davao City Treasurerâs Office.
Davao City Treasurer Erwin Alparaque said they are now finalizing their agreement with the DBP and are waiting for the go signal from Land Bank so they could start accepting online payments.
âWe are now ready for the online payment, we are just waiting for the go signal of Land Bank but anytime, the online payment will be fully operational,â he said.
Alparaque said paying online is real-time, which means that business owners can immediately get their bank transaction receipts and use it to acquire their permits from the business bureau.
He said the system would make it easier for business owners, whose main office is located in either Luzon or the Visayas, to acquire their permits.
âThis is very convenient for the business owners because wherever they are, they can pay their taxes and prevent delays,â he said.
Meanwhile, the CTO has already recorded a total of P21 million in business tax payments from over 1,300 business owners, who settled their dues since the business permit renewal process started on January 3. CIO
