The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), as of Thursday, continues to validate the list of the victims of the fire that razed hundreds of houses on Soliman in Barangay Monteverde, Agdao District on Tuesday. “Initial pani siya and unvalidated pa kay naga cross match pagyud ta no.. adtuon man gyud sa atoang social workers ang area sa balay (This is initial and unvalidated because we conduct cross matching.. our social workers will still have to go to the area where the houses are located),” Dayaday said.
She said that their office continues to provide hot meals for the 170 families who evacuated and remained at the Leon Garcia National High School Gym and the Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Gym.
Meanwhile, Dayaday said that the validated data of those who were affected by the flooding incident that hit Talomo A, Talomo B, Toril A, and Tugbok Districts reached 19,099 families and 43,772 dependents. These families were given welfare goods, hygiene kits, and hot meals from the Mobile Kitchen.

“Gusto lang nako klarohon nga dili tanan makdawat kay base ni sya sa assessment sa atoang social workers.. kadtong naay totally damaged, partially damaged, and slightly damaged definitely, kani lang sila makadawat (I just want to clarify that not all [affected] will receive the assistance because this is based on the assessment of our social workers.. those that have houses that are totally damaged, partially damaged, and slightly damaged will definitely receive assistance),” Dayaday said.
Dayaday confirmed that all of the evacuees due to the flood already returned to their houses.
The City Government, meanwhile, had set up a donation drive to help those who are affected by the flood and fire. CIO
