Davao Cityâs security and safety sector is set to implement its security plan âOplan Kalag-Kalagâ starting October 31.
A total of 14,148 uniformed personnel will be deployed over the course of four days (October 31-November 3) to provide security coverage for Undas, Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) Head Angel Sumagaysay said during the I-Speak Media Forum on Thursday.

Those who will be deployed will come from the Task Force Davao (TFD), Davao City Police Office (DCPO), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), Civil Security Unit (CSU), City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CCTMO), City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), City Economic Enterprise (CEE), and other relevant local government agencies.
Sumagaysay said a total of 3,537 personnel will be deployed every day from October 31 to November 3 in all 38 cemeteries in the city as well as other places of convergence.
For this Undas, Sumagaysay said the PSSO with the CEE came to an agreement with all public and private cemetery operators in the city to prohibit overnight stay of visitors. Cemeteries are scheduled to open at 6 a.m. and will close at 10 p.m. with cut off to all entries at 9 p.m. A âone entrance, one exitâ policy will also be implemented.
Bringing of pets is not allowed within cemeteries. Drones, sharp and pointed objects, alcoholic drinks, backpacks are also prohibited.
However, Sumagaysay said private cemeteries may add more prohibitions as they see fit.
The PSSO chief also reminded the general public to secure their possession and lock up their homes before leaving to visit the cemetery or going on a holiday. CIO
